Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book with Riverside Inn. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

The price includes accommodation only.No breakfast is available. Your remaining balance for the accommodation is payable on arrival. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, debit and credit cards (not American Express or non UK Maestro).

Pets are not permitted.

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and deposit you have paid (30.00 per room per night when booked by phone or 30% of total price when booked online ) is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. If you do not turn up for your booked stay without notifying us or cancel within 14 days (for any reason) of the due arrival date we may charge the full cost of the pre-booked stay if we are unable to re-let the room for the same period. We are only a small business and cannot easily re-let rooms at short notice. If the room is re-let under the same terms and for the same period that you had booked, then the booking deposit will be retained to cover administrative costs and no further charge levied. We work on a policy of actively trying to re-let accommodation which you may have to cancel. Changing number of nights required and/or length of stay is deemed a cancellation unless a longer period is required or more rooms required. In that case you would have to re book accordingly as per normal booking terms.

Early departures:

In the event of a stay being cut short for any reason, the full duration of each confirmed booking will be charged. With this in mind we always recommend you have adequate Holiday Insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. The above also applies to Companies who require to be invoiced for personnel staying with us. Again in the event of late cancellation, we will make every effort to re-let the room(s) and where successful no charge will be made. However, where we are unsuccessful in doing so, an invoice will be sent requesting the full amount for the accommodation booked. Please note we are a small establishment therefore cancellations affect us greatly. As we often receive bookings six weeks in advance of the date guests are staying, it is most likely we will have turned away several potential bookings for the dates you have requested, thus through cancellation our revenue can drop by 1/3.

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Your accommodation is available to you from 1pm to 6pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. If you plan on arriving after 6pm, please let us know so we may make special arrangements with you.

Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.

Damages and Breakages:

Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of 50.00 if you did not report this.

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
